Hastings West-Northwest Journal of Environmental Law & Policy is an official student publication of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  Views expressed in each volume are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board.

Citations conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (17th Edition).

The editors welcome submissions of articles. Publication of reader responses to previously published articles and notes may also be considered.  West-Northwest is committed to the inclusion of materials authored by, and issues important to, members of underrepresented groups and will act affirmatively to provide a forum for diverse and divergent viewpoints.

Positive attributes for publication include:

• relevant to environmental law or policy

• current

• specific to the western region

• advances the law or proposes something interesting

• written by a reputable writer

• coherent

• original

• well-documented

• written with reasonably proper citation format

• fits with themed issue (where applicable)

Please submit one double-spaced hard copy of your article, as well as an electronic copy.  We prefer that your electronic copy be saved as a Corel WordPerfect or Microsoft Word document (both PC and Mac formats are acceptable).  Send hard copies and computer disks to:
