The Inter-Journal Writing Competition annually begins on the day after the last scheduled final exams. students have 12 days to complete an assignment designed to take 4 or 5 days to complete. 1Ls may pick up the Inter-Journal Writing Competition Packet at the Scholarly Publications office, 100 McAllister Street, room 2304 or download it from the Scholarly Publications website.
In completing the assignment, no outside research is necessary or permitted; all the information required to complete the assignment will be provided in the writing competition packet. You may use the same writing entry to apply to all of the journals; however, you can participate only on one journal.
The deadline is a postmark-deadline -- meanin that if the mailing is postmarked on or before the deadline your entry is valid. Many entrants hand-deliver their entries to the Scholarly Publications office, 100 McAllister Street, Room 2303, before 5 p.m. on the deadline day.
